Welcome to my blog. I’ve used this space primarily as a creative outlet, a collection of projects I’ve done for fun, to teach myself something new or as part of my master’s degree. These posts have covered topics in statistics, machine learning, programming, data wrangling and data visualization.
A bit about me:
2016: I graduated from Wesleyan University with an undergrad degree in neuroscience. I started working with data and statistics full-time that year as a post-bac fellow at the NIH. You can see my published research here.
2019: I switched gears from scientific research to working with administrative data at Columbia College. I became fluent in SQL and learned ETL. I worked on high impact initiatives during the pandemic.
2021: I moved from Columbia College to the Office of Development at Columbia’s Vagelos School of Physicians and Surgeons. I switched gears to business intelligence and honed my Tableau, PowerBI, and data visualization and modeling skills with Python and R. I also began my master’s degree at Columbia in Quantitative Methods in the Social Sciences.
2023: I finished my master’s degree and moved to Columbia Business School, where I currently work as senior associate director of data analytics.
2024: I began learning the fundamentals of programming via Launch School, and have enjoyed using this knowledge in my work.
2025: I moved from NYC to the SF Bay Area, where I grew up. Happy to be back!
